Woman injured in car accident still hospitalized

When drivers in Fulton County venture out onto the road, they do so knowing that there is always the potential of a car accident. With car accidents, there is a chance that there will be significant injuries and even fatalities. That can lead to hefty medical expenses and other consequences in an accident's aftermath that many don't even consider as they focus on hoping for a full recovery. In some instances, these accidents involve people who are just beginning their lives and have young families.

A 20-year-old mother of a 2-year-old girl was injured in a car accident and is on life support. The accident occurred when her Honda Passport was rear-ended by a Ford F-150. The impact sent the vehicle onto the other side of the road and in the path of oncoming traffic.

The mother is in on life support. The two passengers in her Passport, her child and her younger sister, are expected to be fine. Meanwhile, the driver and passenger of the F-150 were hospitalized and then released.

When there is a crash, a key to understanding what happened is the accident investigation. Insurance companies are focused on keeping costs as low as possible and will do whatever they can to achieve that end. That includes contacting an injured person or family representative and trying to come to a settlement agreement to preclude a costly lawsuit.

But medical expenses go beyond the hospital stay. They can include rehabilitation and long-term care. In addition, the injured person might not be able to work or function as a parent as they did before. Protecting the interests of the injured party is paramount and might involve litigation.

In this case, the young mother is on life-support after this car accident. Luckily, her teenage sister and child are expected to recover. With the long road the mother likely faces in recovering herself, it is important that she receive the best possible care without having to worry about medical expenses and insurance. In order to consider filing a lawsuit, the case should be discussed with a legal professional experienced in motor vehicle crashes.
